Latest Controversial film – Rani Padmavati

The controversial films Rani Padmavati is based on Malik Muhammad Jayasi’s ballad Padmavati. The Indian epic drama film Padmavati directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali features Deepika Padukone as Rani Padmavati.

The movie is yet to be released because of fringe elements claiming that the film distorts historical facts. They are calling for a complete ban on the movie, stating that Sanjay Bhansali’s film shows Rani Padmini in bad light.



Mersal is a Tamil action thriller film directed by Atlee staring Vijay in Triple role with Samantha, Nithya Menon and Kajal Aggarwal playing the female lead roles.

Mersal is likely to be the first Vijay film to enter into the Rs 200-crore club even after various organizations raised issues against some of the scenes in the movie where the concept of Goods and Service tax (GST) and Digital India were criticized and portrayed to be absurd. The scenes were demanded to be deleted for future viewer ships. However, because of these controversies the movie received a lot of hype and attracted much more attention that it would have otherwise.
